Application & Fees

Entrance Requirements

Students wishing to attend ILA should register online and submit their application at least 3 months before the program begins. The application form should be accompanied by the student’s most recent transcripts of results. We also require a copy of your passport.

All students taking courses at ILA must have completed at least two semesters of undergraduate university level studies and have a minimum GPA of 2.75.

Fees

Semester (fall or spring)

  • Study in Dublin: $14,500

  • Study + Internship: $15,000

  • DCU Direct Enrollment: $17,000

Summer

  • Study in Dublin (one course): $5,000

  • Study in Dublin (two courses): $6,000

  • Internship (part-time or full-time): $6,700

  • Internship + Study (one course): $7,200

The above fees include the following:

  • Application fee

  • Tuition (4-5 courses in fall or spring and one or two courses in summer; to include internship placement where appropriate)

  • Housing (as described in the housing section)

  • Airport pick-up (on designated day of arrival)

  • Welcome and farewell meals

  • On-site orientation (to include health & safety plus practicalities of living in Ireland)

  • Extra-curricular activities (see relevant section)

  • 24-hour emergency assistance

  • Full insurance

  • US transcript of results

Visa Requirements

US students do not require a visa to enter Ireland but will need to register with the Immigration Authorities once in Ireland. There is a charge of €300 to register. US students cannot work during their studies in Dublin.
